This Week…

Kids golf clinic Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday this week from 9 to 10. Just a reminder that Senior League Tuesday morning is pushed back 1 hour, 9 a.m. coffee/rolls 10 a.m. golf.

Next Monday, August 7th is the Harmony Spirits/FC Golf Team Tournament tee off at 10 a.m.

Next Week/Weekend we will host the Preston Open. The format will be the same as in the past. A two person 18 hole senior and ladies best ball division and a 27 hole individual tournament. I’ll send out more information later. The Best-Ball portion can be played anytime next Tuesday through Sunday. The 27 hole individual tournament-you need to have 18 holes done before Saturday evening and then all contestants will play their final 9 holes on Sunday Aug., 13th.

We are in the process of updating the clubhouse. The kitchen and bar area are torn apart and we are currently waiting for the kitchen and bar floor to be grouted. When we are done we will have an updated kitchen but will not have an oven. The cost of the oven, exhaust hood, and other changes that come with a commercial oven were too great at this time. We will still be able serve some food, but will just be a little more limited on what we can serve.

We will also be getting new carpet throughout the clubhouse, new laminate flooring in the bathrooms, painting the bathrooms, and dressing up the bar area a little bit. Because of all these changes we are not having the January Annual Meeting. Instead we hope to host the Annual Meeting sometime in April/May when the clubhouse is complete.
