Coming up

This weekend we will have a large group of around 25 golfers on Friday and Saturday playing golf during most of the day. The course is still open for golf on those days. I just wanted to give our members a heads up and to expect play to possibly be a little slower than normal. If you rely on a golf course rental cart and plan on playing, make sure to call ahead and check on availability.

Also this weekend, on Sunday we have a family reunion golfing from 9 a.m. and should be done by noon. They will tie up most of the course and carts during this time frame.

Sunday, Sept 11. We will be serving brunch from 9 to noon.

Sept 17 and 18 2-day Golf Tournament with the Old Barn. If you are listed as a team captain you should be getting a call or email from the Old Barn on tee times and starting location sometime soon. I will also have a list in the clubhouse.

We are in the process of updating the clubhouse. The kitchen and bar area are torn apart and we are currently waiting for the kitchen and bar floor to be grouted. When we are done we will have an updated kitchen but will not have an oven. The cost of the oven, exhaust hood, and other changes that come with a commercial oven were too great at this time. We will still be able serve some food, but will just be a little more limited on what we can serve.

We will also be getting new carpet throughout the clubhouse, new laminate flooring in the bathrooms, painting the bathrooms, and dressing up the bar area a little bit. Because of all these changes we are not having the January Annual Meeting. Instead we hope to host the Annual Meeting sometime in April/May when the clubhouse is complete.
