Thanks to all that were able to play in the Preston Open last weekend. Bill Rislove won the Men’s Division and Richi Irish was our Member Champion. Wayne Dreier won the senior’s and DD Himli won the women’s flight.
We are going to have a 9 hole couples tournament on Saturday August 29th. Tee off at 5 and dinner to follow. Luann will make the fixings and dessert, golfers please bring some meat to grill. We will have a few small prizes. Show up and play. Put this event on your calendar.
We are in the process of updating the clubhouse. The kitchen and bar area are torn apart and we are currently waiting for the kitchen and bar floor to be grouted. When we are done we will have an updated kitchen but will not have an oven. The cost of the oven, exhaust hood, and other changes that come with a commercial oven were too great at this time. We will still be able serve some food, but will just be a little more limited on what we can serve.
We will also be getting new carpet throughout the clubhouse, new laminate flooring in the bathrooms, painting the bathrooms, and dressing up the bar area a little bit. Because of all these changes we are not having the January Annual Meeting. Instead we hope to host the Annual Meeting sometime in April/May when the clubhouse is complete.
